Everything you teach is great. I've learned more from these videos than all the scales I practiced my whole life. I'm 53 going on 54. I started playing when I was 15. But like you said you learn something new each and every day. Sometimes things don't click but when I watch and listen to your knowledge I feel very connected to you as a guitarist. I can't wait to get my hands on the new DVD. Keep up the good work. One quick question, what gauge strings do you use on your tele?
ReplyDeleteI'm digging on these...good job. Perhaps the Bass Player needs to do his own instructional DVD too. I know our bass player would buy it
ReplyDeleteDoug, thanks again for a great lesson. Kudos to the bass player, he is awesome - keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteWow, my brain is aching! What your saying is like a revelation, after all this time I'm finally gonna figure out how to play guitar. Thanks to you Doug. I've just found you so its gunna take a while to catch up, but I cant put the guitar down now.Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you.PS. Mitch my sons a bass player hes started watching the webinars too. Regards Gary in Australia.

ReplyDeleteIt is so weird but for the last 5 months or so I have been in the same "rut" that you say you have been experiencing. This new material couldn't have come at a better time.
Keep it up.
I hope you family is doing well. Keep pickin'.-g

After watching your "1st Free "ADDING JAZZ" Video"
ReplyDeletethe things you said really struck a nerve. I have become bored with my playing and really don't look forward gigs anymore because I have to listen to myself play. Knowing that someone else has felt the same way and has overcome that rut, makes me feel that there's hope for me yet. Thanks for the encouraging words and for sharing your trials as a player, it has really helped me. Looking forward to get the jazz DVD.
Kevin
